Do you accept custom orders?

If you are interested in a custom ceramic piece, please email me. We can discuss the request, then I can give you a quote and timeframe for completion, if possible. You are welcome to look at my gallery for inspiration. I do enjoy making personalized items so I will try my best to fulfill your request.

Why are there different colored clays?

I use a variety of clay bodies (stoneware and porcelain). Different clays have different pros and cons depending on what I am making. There have also been some supply issues, limiting what clay is available to me. All the pieces for sale are a type if stoneware, except a few that have been designated as porcelain.

Why are the signature/stamps different?

As I’ve continued to grow as a ceramic artist, my personal signature or stamp on the bottom of my art has also changed. Developing a brand and style is challenging and is something I am continuing to evolve. Most of my pieces have K K, a leaf, dragonfly, and/or flower stamp on the bottom. But regardless of the stamp they are all handmade by me.

Shipping/materials

Purchases will be shipped within 5 days of the order. I typically use priority 2 day mail via USPS. The shipping costs are estimates and include the packing materials. If the final price is significantly different than estimated, I will contact you to discuss any necessary changes. If you would like expedited shipping, please email me as soon as you order and I will do my best to make that happen, additional charges may apply. If you select the Pickup option, please email me to determine when and where it would work best to pickup, I am located in Durham, NC. I use recyclable and/or biodegradable (i.e. cornstarch packing peanuts) materials to safety pack your purchases.

Care/Cleaning

All of my pieces are dishwasher safe (top rack), to be extra cautious hand washing is preferred. They can tolerate both cold and heat but please do not transition quickly between the two (i.e. pouring boiling water in a frozen mug, this can cause cracking). The bottoms have been sanded with diamond sandpaper to ensure a smooth scratch free base.

Returns

All sales are final with the exception of if an items arrives damaged. All items are packaged carefully by hand to ensure they get to you safely. If upon opening the package your item is broken, please contact me immediately so I may arrange a replacement/exchange for you or a refund if preferred. All items for sale are my art and entirely handmade, so minor imperfections may be present. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your purchase please do not hesitate to contact me.

Who took the photos?

I took all of the photos on my website. The subjects of the pictures include myself, Michael Koren - my husband, my pets (Echo - dog, Zeus - cat, Xena - cat, Mr. Fox - cat), my plants, and some of our favorite places we have traveled (i.e. the photo at the top of this page is the view from the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy).
